Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026
HowVeryDare ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
Who we are
HowVeryDare is the data controller for the personal data collected through howverydare.com. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
HowVeryDare helps people act as a litigant in person. We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice.
What we collect
This website is currently a waitlist. When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your name and email address, which you enter into the sign-up form.
We may also receive standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) in server logs held by our hosting and infrastructure providers, used only to keep the site secure and running.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager) collects information about how you use the site — such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. This is off by default and only happens with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for detail and to change your choice.
How we use your data
- To contact you about early access to HowVeryDare and related product updates you signed up for.
- To understand demand and improve what we build.
- To keep the website secure and operational.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on your consent when you submit the waitlist form, and on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights).
Who we share it with
We share your data only with service providers ("processors") that help us run the site:
- Web3Forms — processes the waitlist form submission and delivers it to our inbox.
- Our hosting and email providers — to store the site and reach you.
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on the site and may process your IP address to do so.
- Google (Analytics & Tag Manager) — measures how the site is used, only when you accept analytics cookies.
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until you ask us to remove them, or until they are no longer needed for the purpose you gave them — for example, after we have invited you to the product and you have decided whether to join.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Object to or restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
How we use cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.
About the future service
HowVeryDare's product will let you upload your own evidence (such as emails, messages and photos) to build a case. That service is not yet live. When it launches, we will update this policy to explain in full how that evidence is handled, stored and protected before you upload anything.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
